Unlimited
I am late to the party.
I finally watched the movie Wicked, which came out last year, and I gotta say, I am slightly obsessed.
The soundtrack is playing in my head constantly, and my social media feeds are filled with "Easter egg" (secret things hidden in the movie) moments that connect to the Wizard of Oz film.
There is one word that keeps running through my mind - Unlimited.
So many things limit our thoughts about ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
Most of us believe the lies said to us - whether those voices are external or internal.
But I'm not here to give those voices any more attention.
There’s enough of that going on.
I'm here to dream with you.
To imagine.
To hope.
I'm here to remind you of the unlimitedness available to all of us.
The title/theme of this "blog" is Following Forward.
Where to?
To the impossible.
To the places we dream of.
To the limitless wonder that is the unknown.
But to move forward and go beyond the things holding us back, we must take the limits off.
You know what I'm talking about.
Yes, you do.
Knock it off.
Stop sabotaging yourself and making excuses.
Stop blaming others.
Stop procrastinating.
Stop pretending you don't have what it takes because I know you do.
And, deep down, so do you.
And, by the way, so does God, since He's the one that put "it" there in the first place.
For many of us, the "it" may not be clear.
But I promise you this: there is something unique and beautiful within you that the world needs.
The only way to find "it" is to get quiet and take one step forward to where you think God might be leading you.
That might sound weird, but I bet you know what that means for you.
So take the limits off, my dear.
It's not really about you and your abilities; it's about all that God can do if you just say yes and allow Him to do a great work through you.
Let the road in front of you expand and allow yourself to see the unlimited possibilities before you.
Just be open to it.
Let God remove the fear and control, and let your mind wander and wonder as you dream.
Then imagine yourself way up ahead, with God cuddling you close, looking back at this moment.
Envision both of you glowing with pride and contentment, knowing you were brave enough to take the first step into the unlimited possibilities that await you.
Who knows, you may even defy gravity.
Oh man, I need help.
Seriously.
I have to stop.
