And Now
Today, we start a new path that symbolizes the way forward in our walk with God.
We've spent months together purging and cleaning to rid ourselves of things that kept us stuck.
Each path we have journeyed together reminded us of God's beautiful, unconditional, never-ending love and how He never gives us up on us.
We debunked the lies that we believed for so long. Those lies that we were not enough and that we were unloved, unwanted, unforgiven, and unworthy were rooted so deeply within us that we were often on our knees, pulling them out with tears streaming down our faces.
God found us, pulled us up and out of our pits of despair, replaced those lies with truths, and brought light and life into the darkness. We have been set free and repurposed under God's watchful eye and protection.
And now, the winds of change and redemption have arrived, and it is time to move forward.
God's love changed us for the better, and we are ready for our new beginnings.
Everything that has happened so far, the good and the bad, has prepared us for what happens next.
We have spent years looking down and going back.
And now, with that breeze on our backs, God isn't letting us go that way anymore.
Sure, we still hear the whispers of the lies and pain that once held us captive, but they are voices of the past, and they have no power over us anymore.
We are God's redeemed children; together, we move forward, not backward.
I, for one, am done with the cha-cha dance of victimized self-focus.
We've been redeemed, my friend; let's not waste one more moment.
This new path we are on is so full of color and light. The hues and views are breathtaking, and it's hard not to stop and take it all in.
But God is beckoning us forward, so we can't stand in awe for too long.
We've come so far, but looking at God's plans, we've only just begun.
Psalm 107: 1-3
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
Lamentations 3: 57-58
You came near when I called you, and you said, "Do not fear." You, Lord, took up my case; you redeemed my life.
Colossians 1: 13-14
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
