Looking Forward

I love planning trips.

I love all the research and organizing.

I love the anticipation and excitement of looking forward to a fun adventure.

Looking forward to...

Isn't that just a beautiful phrase?

That is a message of freedom.

What are you looking forward to?

You've spent enough time looking back. You've worked through so much and released a ton of stuff.

You’ve also been doing the hard work of staying present and feeling what you need to feel without numbing or running.

You have been so kind to yourself, and I am so proud of you!

Let's take a little break from our work on the past and present and plan for the future!

I'm looking forward to:

  • Leaning on God and trusting He will give me the strength and support I need to handle what comes my way

  • Being brave to say YES to what I feel called to do, even if I'm scared or might fail

  • Saying no when I mean no and not being afraid of people's reactions

  • Finding joy in the little things

  • Connecting with those who are good for my soul

  • Following God and serving others who need love and support

  • Being in a room full of strangers seeking out a new friend that will bring new adventures and insights into my life

Of course, I'd like to add that I am looking forward to taking an all-expenses paid trip somewhere beautiful.

I mean, I'm open to it (hint hint - just kidding).

But the adventure I'm looking forward to is right here, right now.

The life we get to experience really is an all-expenses paid adventure thanks to Jesus (cringey but still true).

Looking forward to whatever comes our way may be the best adventure of them all.

Who knows what's going to happen next?

God does.

And I bet He's got some pretty awesome stuff planned.

Who's ready to get packing and keep moving on our journey together?

I’m sure looking forward to it!

Let's GOOOOOOOOOO!

Philippians 3: 12-14

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11

I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Isaiah 43: 18-19

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
