Prove It
Actions speak louder than words.
We've been talking a good game.
We say the right words, think awesome thoughts, and pray faithful prayers.
But we aren't moving our feet.
We are like kids playing a game of double dutch.
We are standing on the side, holding out our hands, trying to match the rhythm of the ropes so we can jump in.
But we are afraid we will mess it up, so we just stand there.
We are singing all the right songs and saying all the right things but aren't doing anything.
It's not that we believe we can't do it. We know we can. That's a fantastic accomplishment in itself, don't get me wrong.
But knowing isn't doing.
And we've been thinking and knowing long enough.
We started on our journey pretty broken and battered. We never thought we would get this far, to be honest.
We, for sure, aren't looking back there anymore. We spent too many years stuck in the past.
We had to work through it and heal to get this far.
But we gotta keep going.
God has been preparing us for this very moment.
It's time to stop standing on the sidelines, just thinking, talking, and trying to pump ourselves up.
It's time to prove to ourselves, God, and even those pesky naysayers who hide in our heads that we are jumping in and living in our purpose.
It's time to be brave, jump in and go for it.
The proof is in the action.
There is no time to waste, my friend, who is worthy of amazingness.
No more standing on the sidelines.
Let's put down our phones, stop thinking, grab God's hand, jump in, and start grooving.
Let’s prove God right and show Him that we believe we are who He says we are and that we can do what He says we can do!
Look at you go!
You are lookin' GOOD!
Matthew 11: 22-26
Jesus was matter-of-fact: "Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, 'Go jump in the lake'—no shuffling or hemming and hawing—and it's as good as done. That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins."
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Matthew 17:20
Jesus replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
