SOS

SOS was initially created in the early 1900s in the maritime industry to have the ability to communicate distress internationally using Morse code.

It's the universal symbol for HELP!

Later, a backronym (yeah, that's a word) formed, and one of the mnemonic phrases (yeah, that's also a word) for SOS was Save Our Souls.

SOS - Save Our Souls.

Save Us.

I can feel the fearful desperation in that call of distress.

I have cried out with that feeling of panic.

Sometimes, my cries have been more of a whimper, as that is all I could muster while hidden down in the pit of despair.

No matter how quiet our cry for help is, God hears our SOS.

Jesus is coming for us, and He will rescue and save us.

No matter how lost we are, no matter how big the storm, no matter what we have done to ourselves.

Jesus is coming to bring us out of the pit and save our souls.

Don't you give up hope.

You are not alone.

You are not forgotten.

Jesus is coming to save you.

Believe it. Receive it.

Your rescue is coming.

God has found you, and He is never, EVER going to let you go.

Acts 2:21

And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Ephesians 2: 4-5

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

John 3:16

'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
