Who Do You Think You Are

I want to pause for a minute and commend your hard work.

We must take breaks on this journey to enjoy the view and remember how far we have come.

You have fought the enemy and silenced the lies that are not enough and that you could never be loved or forgiven after all you have done.

God found you and reminded you how much he wants you and that all the pain and sorrow will be repurposed into something powerful.

You had to fight fear and insecurity, but look how far you have come.

Dang. It feels pretty good, doesn't it?

You feel stronger and ready for more victory!

Let me assure you - you have a lot more wins ahead.

Sure, you could stop, take that next off-ramp, and chill for a while.

NO - wake up from your slumber and open up your eyes!

There is more to do, my friend.

Your biggest victory is still awaiting you!

That little pesty voice of fear and insecurity will always try and nudge its way into your head.

You're lucky you got this far; don't even try to get further. Who do you think you are?

You aren't good enough to do all that; who do you think you are?

Look at them, they got it together, you'll never be as good as them. Who do you think you are?

Oh annoying little voice of shrinkage, you can sit down and be quiet now.

Just in case you might have forgotten, let me remind you who you are.

You are a child of God, created by THE creator and formed together with love and purpose.

You are needed and wanted and are critical in the lives of those around you. God is shining a light (even if it's the tiniest speck) on where you should go next, and knowing how far He has brought you, you are brave enough to go forth.

You are faithful and know God has rescued you and will never leave you. Therefore, no challenge is insurmountable.

You are victorious and living the life you have dreamed of. Heck, it's more than you could have dreamed of.

You are worthy of living a wondrous life.

Don't give up now.

Keep going.

Victory awaits!

1 Peter 2: 9-10

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

Joshua 1:9

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Romans 5: 3-5

There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
