Already Won
Way to go! You woke up!
Not everyone gets that opportunity, ya know.
So, what will you do with this great day ahead of you?
I'll tell you what you are NOT going to do.
You are not going to keep hitting yourself.
Maybe you had an older sibling who used to tease you and grab your hand so that you would hit yourself over and over, then shout out, "stop hitting yourself," until you wiggled your way free.
Fun times.
But seriously, why do we insist on fighting with ourselves and continue the beatings long after God has forgiven and redeemed us?
Why do we keep fighting a battle that has already been won?
Why must we keep wrestling and replaying?
Why must we make things so gosh darn difficult?
Enough already.
Wiggle your way free from the torment in your mind and receive God's redemption and power to be free from whatever has you in its grips.
There is nothing to fight about anymore. The battle for your peace and your soul has already been won.
How about you stop punishing and hitting yourself, move on, and enjoy what Jesus fought so hard to give you?
Wiggle yourself free and have a good victory cry if needed.
You are forgiven, free, and redeemed.
Believe it, receive it, and enjoy this precious day God has blessed you with.
Enough said.
Psalm 107: 1-3
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
Romans 8: 37-39
No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Psalm 103: 8-12
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
