Constant Companion

Wherever we go.

Whatever we do.

We are going to go through it together.

I believe those are lyrics to a song, but they are also an anthem for our lives.

We are God's beloved children, and He clings to us our loving and constant companion.

Every step we take (wait - that's a song lyric, too) - forward and backward - God is with us.

We can’t hear that truth enough.

Whatever you are going through, God is there.

It's easy to believe that in the good times, as we shout, "God is good" in times of peace and prosperity and when prayers are answered.

It's hard to believe that in the struggles.

God is not our "be free from trouble" card.  

He is our constant companion in the trouble, strengthening, surrounding, teaching, and loving us.

Beloved, you are not alone.

God is with you, always and forever (darn, another song lyric).

So, my beloved and precious friend, don't you stop believing (oh my gosh, seriously?) and know that God is clinging to you on this journey.

Together, you are going to make it.

Together, we are going to make it.

God won’t have it any other way.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Matthew 28: 19-20

Deuteronomy 31:8

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
