Dwelling Place

Father

Son

Holy Spirit

Each is a beautiful part of how God shows Himself to us.

As our Father, God has made Himself known as our creator, protector, guide, and wise authority, helping us on our journey through this life until we make our way home.

God the Father is always with His beloved children and will never leave or forsake us, no matter how far we run or try to hide.

We cannot escape the love God has for us.

We are a few days away from Christmas when we will celebrate the birth of Jesus, God's Son.

His arrival changed the world—then, now, and forever.

An innocent babe foretold finally arrived that starry night and those who saw and knew Him were forever changed. Jesus offered them a new way of living, one free of the chains this world imprisoned them with.

Jesus continues to offer that rescue as He seeks and finds the lost beloved ones until He can bring them home.

He never stops seeking us with his love until we are found.

Jesus is alive and well, an ever-present hope, still seeking and still finding.

Jesus shows us who God is through His sacrificial, unconditional love that sets the captives free. Jesus is our rescuer, helper, redeemer, and friend.

The fact that we can know Him now, all these years later, is a miraculous gift.

Jesus gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit, which shows Himself as the comforter, the discerner, the instinctual and spiritual knowing that dwells within His beloved ones.

God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - dwell within, insulating us in a beloved bubble.

A dear friend encourages us to begin our prayers by bringing our thoughts into our bellies - our gut - where that Holy Triune dwells within us.

That makes sense to me, as the stuff in my head doesn't sound like a place they would want to hang out.

Fear, insecurity, worry, ego, regret, ruminating, catastrophizing, and control often take up residency in my mind - an off-key chorus that only causes self-reliance, anxiety, and stress.

Sometimes, I need a loving tap on the shoulder reminding me to step away from the noises in my head and center down into the dwelling place within to find the peace of God.

I love how God has come to us in many ways to help us on our journey from the ashes.

I love that God has taken up permanent residence within us and that we always have access to Him in so many ways.

God dwells amongst us and within us, encapsulating us in a bubble of love.

Forever and always.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Isaiah 40:5

And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

John 14: 16-17

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
