Enough Already

Sometimes, the suffering of life comes in waves.

When you get through one intense situation, here comes another. You tumble under the waves, water filling your nose and lungs.

But you manage it, you stand up, shake off the water, and try to regain your balance.

Then woosh, another wave comes, and you tumble with the tide.

After a few of these, it gets harder and harder to stand, and you find yourself down on your knees as the water rushes over you.

Your eyes sting, and you can't seem to get on your feet.

You scream, "ENOUGH ALREADY!"

Have faith, my weary one. You are not alone in this moment.

Hold on a little longer. Help is coming. The solution is coming. The stillness will return. Just hold on.

I hear Jesus yelling for you as He hears your cries for help. I see Him running towards you and coming to save you from the crashing waves.

He is reaching out to you. Reach for Him and hold on tightly. He's got you. You are going to get through this.

You are rescued. You are safe. You are going to be OK.

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Matthew 8 23:26

Then he got into the boat, and his disciples followed him. Suddenly, a furious storm came up on the lake so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
