Free to Serve
When you allow God to free you from the distress of overthinking, regret, rumination, fear, and worry, you may find you have a lot of extra time on your hands.
Think of all the available hours you'll have that you used to spend beating yourself up, complaining, gossiping, and worse-case-scenario-ing!
Coming down from the high of the dopamine rush that drama brings can take a while to recover from.
You might notice that you get a little twitchy as you develop your new habits of trusting God, delegating responsibility, and feeling hope, joy, and optimism.
So what do you do with all this free time?
Well, once you are done catching up on all those projects you didn't have time for, perhaps it's time to get you off your mind and focus on others.
So many of us are still trapped in darkness and hopelessness. They feel alone, abandoned, and afraid.
It is our responsibility, no, our duty, to reach back and pull others out of the ashes we have been freed from.
God has a particular assignment just for you.
Keep your eyes open and look around. There is someone in your midst who needs your love
and support.
They need to believe and receive the truth that God loves and forgives them and has never given up on them.
They need to know that they are not forgotten and that God can take all that has happened to them and repurpose it into something amazing.
With all God has freely given us, how blessed are we to return the favor and give to others.
Let's GOOOOOOOOOO!
Psalm 116:5
Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.
Romans 12:13
You should be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.
Galatians 5:13-14
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you.
