Wherever You Go

I see you over there, sitting on the sidelines, hiding from the light.

It's scary out here, I get it.

You tell yourself it's easier to stay hidden and safe.

You have ideas, aspirations, hopes, and dreams, but you tell yourself they are just far-fetched fairy tale fantasies.

So you play it safe and stay put.

As the saying goes, "Better the devil you know than the one you don't."

What a stupid saying.

Why does it gotta be a devil?

Are those the only two options? The evil here or the evil there?

That's what the devil would want you to think, I suppose. He's such an annoying egomaniac.

One of his top priorities is to keep God's children stuck in fear so they cannot live whole, joyful, purposeful lives.

He uses all kinds of restraints to keep us stuck. His favorites include fear of failure, pride, low self-esteem, comparison, numbing, anxiety, distraction, and laziness.

He loves watching the clock tick away as we sit, wasting precious time.

Longing, shrinking, dimming.

Right where he wants us.

That's about enough of that, don't you think?

First of all, there may be a devil here and a devil there, but he ain't got no power over us unless we give it to him.

And let me say this, that little bugger deserves none of our attention or focus.

Security - get that dude OUT OF HERE!

Let's turn our attention to God, shall we?

Our God is here, there, and everywhere.

He is good, kind, and loving.

He encourages you to step forward and follow Him into the unknown ahead.

God created you. He has plans for your life, and if you follow Him and trust in Him, you will survive and thrive, arriving at the place of peace and fulfillment you long for.

God goes before you. He's waiting for you; with Him there, you have nothing to fear.

With God surrounding you, you are free to move, try, fail, grow, learn, try again, and experience the joy of experiencing all this life has to offer you.

Wherever you go, God will be there.

There is nowhere God is not.

You cannot fail so bad that He cannot restore you.

You cannot wander so far that He cannot find you.

You cannot shrink so small that He cannot see you.

You cannot hide so well that He cannot find you.

So get on up.

It's time to move and experience all this life has to offer.

One step at a time.

Forward in freedom.

Let's GOOOOOOOOOO!

Jeremiah 29: 11-14

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity."

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Psalm 71: 19-21

Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, you who have done great things. Who is like you, God? Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.
