Held Tight

You are not alone.

No matter what you are going through, how dark it seems, or how hopeless you may feel.

You are not alone.

God is ready, willing, and able to sit with you in the muck and hold you tight.

We try to hide from Him as we are sure He will shake his head in shame and disappointment.

We suffer alone, afraid no one, especially God, would want us in this state.

But God loves you, and He wants you.

As Is.

He can handle all of it.

Think of Him as your dearest, non-judgmental friend sitting right next to you and holding you close as you pour out your heart.

Tell Him what you are feeling. Let it all out.

He will listen, not because He has to, but because He wants to.

He is with you.

You are not alone.

You are held so tightly.

Always and forever.

Psalm 23: 1-4

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;

your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Psalm 91: 1-2

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust.”

Isaiah 43:1-2

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
