Let Them Love You

I know what it's like to want to hide when things are not going great.

It would help if you had someone to talk to or to help you; deep down, you know that. But you are afraid.

You don't want to dredge it all up, tell the sad story over and over, and welcome the guests of the pity party as they arrive.

You feel like a whiner or a drama queen and begin to tell yourself all kinds of stories about how they will reject or judge you.

You try to suck it up, convincing yourself others have it much worse; this isn't so bad in comparison. Everyone has their stuff going on, and you don't want to be a burden.

So, when those who care about you check in to see how you are doing, you respond with the fabulous facade, "I'm fine, I'm fine."

You then quietly slink back into your isolation, trying to muster the strength to handle it alone.

But let's face it. You can't. You are not fine at all, you know it, I know it, God knows it.

You need a lifeline.

My precious friend, please let in the light of love and accept some help.

God loves you so much and has equipped the right people to give you precisely what you need.

They have been praying for you, waiting for the signal to come to your aid.

His special forces can and will give you the strength to face another day. They love you and are ready to care for you and listen without judgment or pity.

Letting them help you unlocks their God-given gifts and potential. You don't want to block God’s love do you?

Reach out and let just a little love and light in. Even the tiniest glimmer of light can take away the darkness.

We are stronger together, my friend.

God loves you, and so do I!

Galatians 6:2

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Luke 6:31

Do to others as you would have them do to you.
