Look Into the Eyes of Love

We can find ourselves looking for love in all the wrong places.

We search here and there for someone to see us, to know us, to love us.

When we were young, we shrieked, "Mommy, Mommy, WATCH ME!"

Today, our eyes focus on posting, tagging, searching, and scrolling as we long to be seen. We long to be relevant, to be popular, to be known.

We tell ourselves that we must do certain things, be a particular way, or look just right for people to see us in the crowd.

In today's world of online social civilization, we can find ourselves desperately seeking love and validation in a sea of search engine optimization.

Look up, dear one.

God is looking right at you. His loving gaze has never left you, and it never will.

You do not need to search, scroll, or wander to and fro to find the love and validation that you seek.

That which you seek has been right before you all this time.

It always has, and it always will be.

God is looking at you. Do you see him? Focus on those beautiful, bright eyes.

Oh my stars, how He loves you. His gaze is mesmerizing as he whispers to you all the ways you shine so brightly in this world, just as you are. He speaks truth to your soul and reminds you that you are loved, needed, and relevant.

You do not need a spectacular performance for Him to beam with pride for you. There is no need to keep seeking optimization. No desperate seeking necessary.

God loves you just as you are, always and forever.

Believe it and receive it. You are loved so completely and incessantly.

Look... right there...

God loves you, and so do I!

Psalms 33:18

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

Genesis 16:13

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me."

Psalm 34:15

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

and his ears are attentive to their cry;
