Our People
I am so glad we are not on this journey alone.
Even though I know God loves us and is always right by our side, it sure is nice to have the company of our people as well.
I'm an off-the-charts extrovert, so the more people I have, the better.
While I love meeting new, amazing people to add to my collection of besties, I am grateful for my forever friends who have stuck by me through all the ups and downs of life.
All of my people are beautiful, unique, and rare. Together, they make a tapestry of love and joy that sustains my life.
Reflecting on all my friends over the years, I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
Some friendships last forever, despite time, distance, and change.
Some friendships lay dormant, and then you get together, and it's like no time has passed.
Some friendships surprise us when they step up and support us when we need it the most, especially when we don't ask, but they somehow know exactly what we need.
Some friendships have to end when it is time. It is sad but necessary sometimes. Nonetheless, the memories remain despite the pain.
Some friendships begin at the right time, encouraging and pushing us forward into new, challenging adventures.
Reflecting on all the friendships I have been blessed with over the years, I realize something.
The more I loved God and let Him love me, the more I loved myself, which allowed others to love me,
God's love demands that we surround ourselves with the very best.
The unique, diverse collection of people surrounding us is so valuable and rare that we dare not take it for granted.
Our people are precious to us!
We are safe and sound, found and loved by God, and surrounded by our people who love and support us.
Thanks be to God - and to our people!
God has found you, and He is never, EVER going to let you go.
Proverbs 27:9
A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Proverbs 18:24
Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family.
Proverbs 13:20
He who walks [as a companion] with wise men will be wise, but the companions of [conceited, dull-witted] fools [are fools themselves and] will experience harm.
