Shelter From the Storm

Come in out of the storm, my friend.

You don't have to suffer and stay cold and miserable anymore.

You don't have to suck it up and go it all alone.

God is opening the door; here, you will find the warmth and protection you desperately need.

You've tried to fight the storms that came upon you. You did a great job; you really did.

But you are weary, and you need some rest and recovery.

Come on in; let me get you a cup of tea.

God's shelter of love will protect you.

Cuddle in, snuggle close.

You are safe here.

Tell God all your worries, and cast your cares upon Him as you heave your troubles from your back.

Come, sit down, and take a load off. Literally.

The storm is still roaring out there, but inside the shelter God has made for you, it's toasty warm and calm.

Take a moment and rest while you feel God's peace quiet your mind for a bit.

You don't have to decide right now; you don't have to figure it all out.

Just rest and let God soothe and comfort you.

He loves you so much.

He is protecting you on all sides.

He is strengthening you and empowering you.

We have a road ahead, and I can't promise the storm will pass just yet, but that journey can wait until later.

For now, lay back and rest in the shelter of God's protection and unending love.

I'll go and get you some more tea.

God is with us, always and forever.

Psalm 91:1

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Psalm 27:5

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble, he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.
