Recreate

It's time to come alive again.

For so long, you lay dormant, existing in this life but not fully engaged in it.

To avoid the pain and hurt, you tried to protect yourself by numbing to stay hidden and covered.

By numbing the pain, you inadvertently numbed yourself as well.

I get it. It was scary, and you didn't want to face it all.

But look at you now!

You have been so courageous.

You have faced the pain of the hidden things within you and brought them into the light for God to heal.

It was hard, I know. The pain that came as the numbness wore off was no joke.

You no longer dulled or diminished to avoid hurt - you fought through the pain to get to the healing.

You chose to allow yourself to feel the discomfort and find the purpose of it, knowing that God was with you every step of the way.

The chronic ache of the pins and needles of pain has finally subsided.

It's ironic, isn't it? We think numbing will help make it all go away, but it doesn't.

Numbing only pushes the pain down, so it grows, festers, and coils within us.

But when we face the hurt, feel the pain, and welcome God's loving light to shine in the darkness, healing happens, and we can finally move on.

And now, here you are - all fresh and new.

The pain has subsided, and God has awakened your mind, body, and soul, recreating all the hurt into something powerful within you.

You are brave, resilient, and strong.

God has taught you that with Him at your side, you can face anything that comes your way.

I am so very proud of you, my recreated, ravishing friend.
