There They Are
One of the huge benefits of receiving God's redemption is that you now have a lot more time on your hands.
Think about that phrase - time on your hands.
You are holding time itself in those precious mitts of yours.
We used to waste hours, days, months, and YEARS thinking about ourselves, regretting the past, or worrying about the future.
But now, we have fully leaned into this redemption thing and accepted God's mercy, love and reliability,
So now what are we gonna do?
Sure, we could continue focusing on ourselves and take up a hobby or self-satisfying pursuit.
But what about them?
What about the little yous out there?
The ones who are alone and scared and feel like no one loves them.
The ones who can't seem to crawl their way up and out.
The ones who can only hear the voices of lies, despair, and defeat.
The ones who say they are fine when they are not.
The ones who are unprotected and vulnerable.
The ones who don't know that there is a God who loves them just the way they are.
You could put up your dukes, fight for them, and show them the love of God that saved you from that mucky, funky pit you once resided in.
Take a look at your hands. The spots, the scars, the lines—they are a testament to all that you have held in this life of yours.
And now, they are open and ready to work and pay forward the goodness given to us.
God will shine the light to help you find the hearts you can help.
Time is ticking. Let's get to it and put those hands to holy work!
Imagine the lives that could be changed if you seek and find those God is searching for.
Oh, look, there they are!
Ephesians 1: 5-10
In love, he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
In him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us.
With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
Psalm 103: 1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Titus 2:14
He offered himself as a sacrifice to free us from a dark, rebellious life into this good, pure life, making us a people he can be proud of, energetic in goodness.
