Daily Cleaning
We are a work in progress.
We all have hard-to-break habits and patterns of behavior that have become second nature to us, even if they no longer serve us.
As we strengthen our forgiveness muscles, we could incorporate a new habit to help us address these habits and form new patterns that work for our newly improved awesomeness.
We can ask God to forgive us and wipe us clean as we begin each day.
Forgive us for judging as we ask God to help us to see others through His eyes.
Forgive us for doubting God's power in times of stress or uncertainty.
Forgive us for choosing fear and worry over faith and trust.
Forgive us for turning away and returning to old ways that are not best for us.
Forgive us for not dedicating time to God, listening, and seeking God-given discernment and wisdom to help us choose what is best for our time and focus.
If we start our day with the daily cleaning of seeking forgiveness, we can feel refreshed, renewed, and strengthened to begin again.
God is nothing if not patient with us.
When we ask for His forgiveness each day, He dusts us off, wipes us clean, and we can start over.
Let's begin again, my friend. It's never too late.
2 Corinthians 4: 16
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Psalms 103:8
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
